PASSIVE PASSION SMOKING 


PROJECT: I took up this Project keeping few idea in mind that is 1: One artwork done according to the Comic art style 
2: It should multi color artwork 
3 it should be vibrant cult and aesthetic 
4: it should depict a certain emotion and crave 

REFERENCE AND IDEA : First of all i am big comic and graphic novel addict before , Indian graphic novel and western both influence me , like for Indian author Amruta Patils graphic novel KARI  and then Frank Millers Batman and Constantine did a huge influence on me , so as i read through many novels i kind of got attracted towards anima /animus 
Anima is the type of character in particular   novel or story or comics ,they are actually represented as the Love interest ot the Protagonist and usually seen as a sigh of Sexual desire .  Selina Kyle aka Catwoman and Harleen Fances Quinzel aka Harley Queen, made me focus on them and  i took them as reference . now both of them are anti hero and villain i never wanted a character in particular just the influence from them so i made this art and used colors .


MY WORK : Now the woman is smoking and i did not want to promote smoking through this hence i gave the smoke the color which depicted as passion . so she is inhaling passion and as her body is full of color patches and she exhaling art . 
through this art i wanted to show if one breathes passion of art and color he or she will execute artistic creation around . i portrayed this through this cult art 

PROJECT :  i was writing a story a short one indeed and i thought of turning it into a Graphic Novel later . So i took up the project to design the cover of the Graphic novel Book . My basic plan was to make  realistic movie like poster in the cover and graphic art inside . So i had to make an artwork properly based on the story and specially the theme . Another thing that should be kept in mind is that story or graphic novel was a bit A rated . the rules i made was simple . Artwork should be Clean .Simple one main body should be there and No extreme contrasting color . . 

INFLUENCE AND REFERENCE : I am big fan of Punk and cult films and so as i was thinking what exactly to make in the poster . suddenly a movie book cover came into my mind the art work caught my eye big time a long back  THE GIRL WITH THE DRAGON TATTOO  by Stieg Larsson. The book cover really caught my eye . 

MY WORK ;  So at first i thought of taking a real life image of a girls back but its difficult to find model confident enough to do a shoot so eventually i had to take reference and make the main body. then editing it . Now my novel was actually a bit punk oriented and the main character had  a Tattoo on back as it was street style based .  so now i can not give complicated tattoo art so i chose a simple one and gave and My Location was in New York . so giving a look of the city minimizing it down. so eventually the main body was on focus the poster was clean and simple and it has lots of space to breathe 

This is the alternate Poster of  SERIALLY RIDICULED . here i actually made the Television a character with an agent like feel for the company itself . who actually is directly addressing the viewer about the website . . the more interactive the artwork becomes the more promoting it becomes 

PROJECT :  I was asked to do a project by a an Online media house called SERIALLY RIDICULED . they are basically an entertainment site working specially on Tv series (english) . My work was to design an artwork based on the theme or the subject the company is dealing with . The conditions were it should be fresh , new and catchy , keeping simplicity on the artwork and producing it is the job

INFLUENCE AND REFERENCE :  i was sitting in my room and was watching t.v and it was going on in my head what to do for the artwork. making an artwork for a company who works with t.v series is really at times a tough jump, many ideas came like like mashing up few t.v series picture and working on them and  making an artwork then i suddenly saw a poster of the band Porcupine Tree where there is a Picture of a t.v whose display is disrupted and i suddenly i saw my t.v . Now honestly artwork like this is made before but it stroke my mind that what if i make the TV itself a character and let it speak i looked at my t.v i saw what if that T.v is a self broadcaster ?

MY WORK : I made an artwork of a vector T.v  placed on a stand rather a tool and wrote broadcasting in the tv in a form of speaking and made the t.v broadcast itself i put an Antenna on the top of the t.v and used vector sparks which portrayed  electric current waves between the antennas and writing SERIALLY RIDICULED in between . this kinda looked like the or rather i made it look like the tv's brain is speaking about the site and the t.v is self broadcasting . so here i made the Television the Character .

PROJECT : I was given a Project by an Interior designer to design a logo for her Company " Aathithya "  telling tales of the Lost heritage which means Welcome . it had to be vibrant and traditional . and the design logo should speak the brand . i had to keep it clean and simple .

IDEA AND REFRENCES: the very first thing that stroke  my mind was the name " Aathithya "  that means welcome so in India when we greet or meet we fold our hand together with a pose which is followed my word "namaste"means hello so if i am company who wants people to welcome in my interior  world ill do exactly the same namaste. And teling tales of the lost heritage hence HISTORY was involved

MY WORK : so i created a vector image of Namaste . making it color yellow which depicts good vibe and even one of the key Indian traditional color . Giving bangles in the hand made it more traditional

the the next work was the font . you just cannot use western fonts in a Traditional artwork so i used devnagari font . English alphabets designed like Hindi alphabets and keeping the subtitle in normal English gave it a simple fresh and catchy look 

PROJECT: Volunteer card or batch for ANIMATIO: vol 2

Project : This was the final Poster and promotional poster of  ANIMACION  . i was given a project to make a poster for Animacion for world animation day . they deal was this that the poster should be visually catchy and minimalist and and contain more or less all the superhero from both DC and marvel

Influence and reference : I was working on quite a few minimalist artwork poster so when they told me i kinda figured out how to make one but composing was real deal.i got pretty attracted by a star wars posters and took it as a reference . and tried to a bit give old school feel

My Work: i wanted to to make a silhouette artwork . Te red color in the background depicts Power passion and violence as the characters are superhero : i have included both the marvel and dc characters in her . Tried to keep minimalist as possible . i worked on the Font because the Poster was more like Movie poster so the font had to be appropriate .

Poster design For #ANIMATIO . Animatio is the latin name of Animation.
this was designed for World Animation Day . i was given the task of creating something visually appealing and diffrent . Lately i was working on polygonal geometric structure art so i thought of experimenting with that . creating this or rather while working on this i was exposed to many artworks like this which gave me inspiration and reference o create more work like this . 

 EXPERIMENTAL TYPOGRAPHIC ART

My first Experimental Art on typography. . Typography caught my eyes when i first a movie poster made by an artist so i researched about it and found out this beautiful art works made out of alphabets , many use different process or techniques to do this. So i tried and experimented on two of the images one using color and another black & white . blending them and editing them was actual fun .

Experimenting on Polygonal geometric  art. 

Project : Geometric polygonal artwork . i took up this self project as to make  artworks based on Geometric shapes and Polygons

Inspiration and reference : I was studying history of art and literature . there i had this Chapter called Cubism where artworks were made of cubes and shapes .Later the geometric low polygonal artwork were used in video games and there posters and as time went by it evolved so i got inspired from those and started experimenting on them

Work : These three are the experiments i have done the first one is done A Polygonal artwork on Miley Cyrus i did the geometric design and colored it .

The second was a model i kept the face transparent and and reducing the opacity and mixing up the medium as art and photography

the last one was an Attempt for ANIMATIO volume 2 . i created an artwork on dead pool and tried to give a funky look and its just a raw artwork without keeping any photographs and coloring .
